Following a long career within the fire and rescue service, Paul uses his operational knowledge and expertise to provide a professional and consultative service to both the public and private sector. He has previously attended and handled numerous incidents involving hazardous substances, and had involvement in multi agency response to CBRNE type incidents, making him well placed to provide practical guidance and information to assist companies in the preparation and development of emergency plans and procedures. As a project manager for the fire and rescue arm of Restrata, Paul has responsibility for the provision of manpower, services and equipment to the oil field Fire Services within Iraq. Recruitment and training of local nationals is a challenge but one which he finds very rewarding and worthwhile, when considering the effect it has on the local communities and how it ultimately supports the rebuilding of Iraq.
